The ferrata leads precisely to Fort Barba di Fior, used in World War I in 1915/1918.
The descent can be done by the same ferrata or by the comfortable mule track of the fort.
Outing that can be done by anyone as long as they are not afraid of heights!!!

Frequently Asked Questions - Via Ferrata Barbadifior
The Via Ferrata is an artificially man-made route that allows, thanks to a succession of metal cables, ladders, suspension bridges and stirrups, progression along rock faces. It allows for a safe mountaineering experience, even without being a climbing expert.
Of course, artificial structures serve precisely to solve these ‘difficulties’ with the constant security of always being anchored to a main cable with special lanyards and connectors.

Dressing in layers allows you, depending on the temperature, to choose the appropriate protection for the outdoor environment to avoid getting too hot or too cold.

The Trentino Wild organisation will provide the necessary technical equipment: approved helmet, via ferrata harness, dynamic longes with carabiners and gloves.
No big deal. You will be equipped with a harness with two dynamic safety longes and gloves. During your progression, you will always be bound with at least one carabiner on the main safety line. In this way, even in the event of a slip or fall, the dynamic rope of the longes will dissipate the energy of the flight and keep you hanging onto the main cable.
Of course, Vie Ferrate are divided into levels of difficulty. In Italy we have a ‘local’ difficulty scale, but it is very easy to find different references using the Austrian or German scale. The basic level Ferrate are suitable for everyone, even children.
Yes, provided they are always accompanied by a guardian and are not less than 1.40 cm tall.
Your group will always be accompanied by a mountain guide who will explain everything to you: how to behave, what to do and what not to do during your walk as well as giving you a lot of information about the place where you are. The Guide will of course intervene in any situation where you might have difficulties of any kind.
The Vie Ferrate were also created for this. Enabling even those who have never climbed or mountaineered to experience high mountains in complete safety is precisely why these routes are created.
