L'attività di arrampicata su ghiaccio verrà svolta in apposite zone dove c'è una sicurezza molto elevata. Sono delle falesia costruite apposta per arrampicare su ghiaccio.
Il freddo non esiste più, esiste però materiale poco di qualità. Se venire con giacca a vento tipo quella per sciare, un paio di guanti il freddo non lo patirete. Anche perchè le zone dove si va a fare arrampicata saranno in zone comode e facili da raggiungere.
I rampini hanno delle punte che devono per rimanere sul ghiaccio, le piccozze servono per poter salire. Sono dei ganci che colpendo il ghiaccio come con un martello la piccozza si pianterà, poi con i piedi si darà un leggero calcio e le punte dei rampini si pianteranno nella cascata.
Come tutt ele cose dipende dal livello che si vuole fare. La guida alpina vi farà vivere una bellissima esperienza in sicurezza. Vedrete che è più facile di quello che si pensa.
